SAF 2008 Member-Get-A-Member Campaign

About the Campaign

Help SAF and Your Colleagues
SAF counts on our members to help us grow every year by actively participating in membership recruitment. Member-to-member recruitment is vital to SAF-in fact, it's one of the most effective ways to bring in new members. But it does more than just help SAF. Our members tell us that they enjoy helping their colleagues discover the professional benefits of membership. This activity gives members the opportunity to get involved with SAF and contribute to their colleagues' success.

Now SAF offers participants more opportunities than ever to win prizes.

Recruit New Members

Each time that you recruit you receive Rewards Points. You earn 500 points for every professional member and 250 points for every student you recruit. These points can be redeemed for use towards merchandise in the SAF Store. It's a small token of appreciation for your support. Also, for every five members or ten student members that you recruit, you get a chance to win free registration and airfare to SAF's 2008 National Convention in Reno, Nevada.

Rewards Points for Referrals!
Refer just one prospective member to SAF and we'll reward you with 50 SAF Rewards Points. For every additional prospect you refer you'll receive 50 points (up to a total of 500 points). We'll invite the individuals you refer to join, and you'll receive 500 points for every member you refer who signs up for membership!

Rewards Points can be accrued for membership recruitment, referrals, attending a national convention, taking an online JOF quiz, and other activities. A minimum of 500 points is needed for prize redemption. Points can be accrued and redeemed at any time (once you have a minimum of 500 points). For details on the Rewards Points Program go to www.safnet.org/members/rewards.cfm.

It's easy to recruit new members!

Recruiting just one new SAF member will make a significant contribution to SAF AND to your point count!!

Be sure to include your name and membership ID # on the "recruiter" line of each membership application you distribute. If your application doesn't include an option for recruiter, simply handwrite the word "recruiter" on the application. Applications are available online at www.safnet.org/join.cfm.

For more information, contact Carol McKernon, manager, member services, at (301) 897-8720, ext. 108, or email your request to mckernoc@safnet.org.
