SAF host hotels are moments away from the Pittsburgh International Airport. Book your reservations early! All Convention activities - registration, general and program sessions, Exhibit Hall activities - will be held in the David Lawrence Convention Center.

The Alumni receptions will be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel.

Air Travel

Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is a world-class facility that accommodates more than 14 million travelers in nearly 400,000 aircraft operations per year. With about 380 non-stop flights per day to 80 destinations, Pittsburgh International Airport is served by 21 air carriers as well as being a US Airways focus city.

Check with you local travel agent or internet travel site for flights into Pittsburgh.

Ground Transportation

Shuttle is centrally located on commercial side of baggage claim area (lower level).

Departures on baggage claim level.
Exit Airport through door located next to ticket counter.
Directly outside, board busses along curb.
Shuttle departs the airport every ½ hour.
Reservations NOT required.

Returning to the airport, departures from the Omni are on the hour and from the Westin are on the ½-hour.

What to Pack

Dress is business attire.
Friday’s Carnegie Museum events will be business attire as well.
Appropriate field attire will be necessary for the Technical Field Tours.
The average high temperature during October will be highs 60s and the evenings in the low 40s.

Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations and request for refunds must be received in writing by Friday, September 15. Fax your request to (301) 897-3690, Attn: Registrar. A $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the total refunded amount. No refunds will be available after Friday, September 16.

Confirmations

Confirmations will be sent within 2 weeks of the receipt of your registration. If you need immediate guarantee of receipt, please use the fax or e-mail confirmation.
