Technical Field WorkshopsFriday, October 27th During Convention Session from 1 – 5 pm T2 – Pittsburgh Urban and Community Forestry Working Group sponsors - B2 Urban and Community Forestry, F3 Education and Communication Fee - No Charge (space is very limited) For Pittsburgh, the Urban and Community Forestry Working Group proposes the following tour in cooperation with the City Forester, the Pittsburgh Shade Tree Commission, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, and Bartlett and Davey Tree Experts: a look at conservation and educational work in major and neighborhood parks; visiting tree planting and other volunteer projects by local activist groups in Pittsburgh neighborhoods; visiting community gardens and other work of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy; exploring work being done by both Davey and Bartlett Tree Expert Companies (such as the Pittsburgh Tree Commission's new tree inventory); and viewing historic and interesting architecture and gardens.
