Alumni Receptions

The SAF National Convention is a great place to network and become reacquainted with fellow alumni, sharing old and treasured memories, and interact with forestry students.

Meetings Promotion

Each school reception will be listed in the onsite program. If you decide to host an alumni event separate from the Reception, we will include the information in the program as long as it is provided before August 31, 2007.

Plan Your Event

• Shared Common Space Reception - There will be one large ballroom reception in which multiple Universities will share space. Pipe and drape dividers will be provided to give privacy to your reception. Food will be served from several large buffet stations and each school will be charged on a per person basis of $32.00 inclusive. The per person price includes cash bar set-up and breakdown, tax, and service charge, buffet, and pipe and drape rental paid directly to SAF.
• Private Receptions - SPACE FOR PRIVATE RECEPTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
• School Pennant - School pennants will be used to identify your space in the group reception and to decorate your space in the private rooms. If you did not send your pennant for the 2006 Alumni Reception you are welcome to contribute one to this event. These pennants will be delivered to the Oregon Convention Center and then saved for future use.
• Payment - Payment for shared common space or private reception fee is due to SAF upon receipt of reservation form. If a school requests a private room and none are available, the school will have the option to reallocate the fee to cover shared common space reception costs.
• Cancellations - No refunds will be issued after September 4, 2007.

Timeline

• June 29 - Reservation form with projected attendance and payment is due to SAF
• July 2 - SAF will forward information to the Oregon Convention Center
• August - September - Oregon Convention Center will contact each school with private receptions regarding payment and guarantees
