Speaker Ready Room:
All speakers are requested to check-in at the Speaker Ready Room in the Honolulu Convention Center. The location and hours of operation will be listed in the on-site program. The room will have data projectors and laptops available to review your presentation. A volunteer will be there to assist you.

Audio-Visual Equipment:
All rooms will be equipped with a data projector, screen, microphones and a head table. Audio-visual assistance will be on-site to help troubleshoot interface problems.

Moderators are expected to provide a laptop for the session.

Location:
All the concurrent sessions will be held in the Honolulu Convention Center. Rooms will be set theater style (without tables) unless SAF has received a specific request for another format. Attendees will not have a writing surface.

Timely Presentations:
It is essential for the flow of the program that all speakers keep to the time allocation. Presentations are designed to run as 30-minutes back-to-back presentations, including time for speaker introduction and transition. A smooth transition is critical for a well-managed and productive convention.

In a panel presentation, the panel moderator will keep the sessions on a 30-minute schedule by allocating time for a short introduction of each speaker, followed by the presentation and an appropriate question and answer period. It is beneficial for all panel members, including moderators, to contact each other and discuss the content of your presentation, how your presentation interacts with the other panelists, and the exact time and length for your portion of the session.

Handouts:
Presenters are responsible for creating, shipping, and distributing their own handouts.

Cancellations:
If there is a change in your ability to present, please contact the SAF Director of Science and Education as soon as possible at ScienceEd@safnet.org or 866-897-8720 ext. 240.
