For me, SAF's greatest value has been to help me network within my profession. Through my membership and active participation, I've developed acquaintances, relationships, and real friendships that have enriched and enhanced both my career and my personal life. SAF is the place where I can act as an individual professional, not representing anyone but myself. Dan Simonds Rangeley, Maine
I value the opportunity SAF provides to keep up-to-date with natural resource technology, keep informed and participate in the legislative process, and meet regularly with a wide variety of forestry professionals. Charles J. Newlon, CF Wallingford, Pennsylvania
the forestry profession spans not only ecological functions but also the economic and social aspects [of forests]. SAF provides a rich set of balanced resources for all three. Teague D. Prichard, CF Madison, Wisconsin
What I value most about my SAF membership are the resources that are available to me and the ease with which I can keep up to date on current issues and in contact with others in the forestry profession. The Journal of Forestry, The Forestry Source, The E-Forester, Forest Policy Update and SAF-Member are great resources. Amy Wiita Anchorage, Alaska |
